Review: 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander

The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander is completely redesigned for the new year. Boosting over 100 improvements from previous models, it's basically like rolling out a brand new model from the factory. Plus the Outlander has a great reputation for safety and value, and every new one comes with a 10-year, 100,000 warranty upon purchase.
Here at the dealership we have a poster that outlines every improvement to the 2016 Outlander. We couldn't fit everything in this document, but we'll highlight some of the improvements here:
New Design
The Outlander has an amazing new look. Up front the Outlander gets an all-new chrome front grille with a wide-open front fascia. Down the side the Outlander has new creases and leading lines that lead to a new back end with improved tail lights.
Inside the Outlander has upgraded the quality with an improved dash layout. The seats have improved materials that make them the most comfortable Mitsubishi seats ever. With improved ergonomics on the radio panel, it's easier than ever to reach all the radio buttons quickly. That also keeps you safe because your eyes stay on the road, not the button cluster.
New Technology
The Outlander offers the latest technology available, starting with improved Bluetooth pairing functions for easy, reliable hands-free calling and streaming audio. With improved voice controls, the new Outlander knows what you are trying to tell it.
The new touch-screen center console is more responsive and easier to use. The new display has a modern feel. Mitsubishi has updated the graphics on the navigation system so it's clearer and easier to read.
Other Improvements
You could spend all day getting into the specifications, but the Outlander has improvements you'll notice but never see, things like new rear springs, improved suspension, improved roof panels, improved weather-stripping, and door garnish. And many improvements to the doors, flooring and shape make it a quieter, more comfortable ride.
The Mitsubishi Outlander is an IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus, the best of the best for highway safety. The Outlander has optional forward collision mitigation, tiny sensors placed around the car that monitor everything happening around you. If the Outlander suspects danger, the vehicle will automatically stop and slow down, doing everything it can to prevent a collision.
The Outlander also comes with the optional Super All Weather Control, one of the best ways to drive in ice and snow. The Outlander is constantly voted one of the best vehicles to drive bad weather. Living in Northeast Ohio, we get plenty of snowstorms and unexpected blizzards, so having this Outlander makes you ready for whatever Mother Nature throws at you.
Third Row Seats
With a standard third row seat, up to 8 people can fit comfortably inside your Outlander. This is the only SUV in its class to offer a standard third row seat. These seats are easy to fold down and provide additional storage when needed.
The Outlander was named "Best Value on the Road" by the Active Lifestyle Vehicle of the Year Awards Program. Kelley Blue Book named it one of the most affordable 3-row vehicles for the second year in a row.
The Outlander is offered at a great low price, thousands less than the competition. And as value goes, the Outlander also comes standard with a basic 5-year, 60,000 mile warranty and a 10-year, 100,000 mile limited power train warranty.
At Waikem Mitsubishi, we add even more value with our Waikem Discounts and Rebates that make it easier than ever to drive home in a new SUV. We have a great selection of these Mitsubishi models on the lot today, and we're excited to show you all 100 improvements to this year's model.
